Raw hair extensions may come in different textures, but all of them require proper maintenance. Extend your extensions  lifespan by following the hair care tips provided by The Ash Blondey Collection.

Hair Do’s:

 

  • Co-wash your extensions before installing.

  • Wash your extensions every 2-3 weeks to avoid product build up.

  • If your extensions are colored deep condition every 2 weeks.

  • Wash your extensions in a downward motion to avoid tangling.

  • Extensions can be heat styled using temperatures up to 450 degrees.

  • Always use heat protectants when styling.

  • Wrap your hair in a silk/satin bonnet or scarf at night to avoid frizz. Preferably the one on the website.

  • If you like to seal wefts use fray check.

  • This is real hair so always keep it moisturized with light weight oils.

 

Hair Don’ts:

 

  • Never sleep with wet or damp hair it can cause mildew and your hair will mat up.

  • Do not use shampoos and conditioners that have sulfates. They can cause dryness and dullness.

  • Do not use heavy oils it will weigh the hair down.

  • This is REAL hair so we recommend that you do not color or use chemicals on extensions unless you are a PROFESSIONAL.

  • When your professional stylist colors your hair make sure they use the coconut oil method.
